Ash's Pikachu, not any other Pikachu, is the mascot of the entire fucking franchise. Just throwing this out there, but who says that they have to reinvent the current anime to make a show for older fans? I'm sure plenty of us would love to have a couple of 12-13 episode seasons with all the bells and whistles that can satisfy us. Something like Origins, but a bit more expanded with maybe one season per year focusing on the different regions and their protagonists instead of the cameos during 5 minute shorts we got with Generations.
