I'll start
>expansive world map
>6 on 6 battles
Relationships
>>33035167
pokemon X trainer relationships
>>33035191
We're getting into good shit now
You have to feed your low level pokemon to higher level pokemon to evolve them
I'm getting this from DQ5.
>>33035154
No grass, just random encounters everywhere
>>33035209
Huh. I don't remember that from DQ5.
Then again I kinda stopped playing afteryou get turned into stone
>>33035218
now we're talking
>>33035154
High fantasy setting.
>>33035154
>Legendary pokemon are boss fights, you only have one chance to catch them
>>33035154
you have a party of three trainers, each controlling one pokemon.
enemy encounters can be anywhere between 1 large enemy, or a horderof like 12 smaller pokemon like diglett.
much like dragon quest, sometimes, pokemon that evolve by combining will do so mid battle, like the aforementioned 12 digletts becoming 4 dugtrio.
>Final boss Primal Arceus
Each one of its plates is a miniboss with its own attacks and status. After of destroy all the plates, reveals its final form.....with this music.

>Natures no longer affect stats, instead only affecting tastes in food and relationship interactions
>Instead, each species has a pool of 2+ classes that can be assigned and swapped that affect the stat distribution, as well as possibly affecting the abilities/movepool
>>33035374
>pokemon that evolve via combining often call for help at the end of their turns
>a battle against a lone beldum could become a battle against m-metagross if left unchecked
Can only save at hotels/pokemon centers
>>33035154
Imagine the frame rate with 6 on 6 battles.
>>33036943
There wouldn't be a frame rate. It would be so low it wouldn't exist.
>>33035283
>Legendary pokemon are boss fights, they inexplicably get much weaker when they're on your side
FTFY
>>33035154
Just have PMD but with the main games combat.
>>33035243
sauce?
>>33037271
That would be horrible and you know it. We don't need more otherkin playing pokemon
>>33035209
This was definitely not in DQ5. You got monsters on your team by defeating them in battle and gaining their respect. Then, they leveled up normally like the human characters. Maybe you're thinking of Dragon Quest Monsters?
>>33038363
DQ Monsters had a breeding and fusing mechanic iirc so maybe that's what anon was talking about.
