(somewhat amateur) Gen 2 metafag here. Usually the only starter you see is Venusaur, who isn't even OU, and sometimes Blastoise. That could be how we've had 18~ years to hone the meta, could've been different back then.

Of the three though, I definitely would give it to Meganium in Gen 2. None of the trio have very good tools this early on but she's got a slightly better chance w/ her typing imo. I love all three of the lines design-wise though, they're all so special in their own ways.

What is gen II OU like? I keep hearing people praise it.
