I made a chart. All are gifts or interactable, with the exception of Staraptor, Roserade, Floatzel, Weavile, Froslass and Snorlax; the first five are often seen in Sinnoh teams (such as the Rival's) and I put Snorlax in due to Munchlax's status in DPPt.

I admit the distinction is slightly arbitrary; I'm just going by which Pokémon receive the most attention from Gamefreak.

Also, Giratina would probably be Origin Forme, but I don't have that sprite.

This. It only makes sense. Barry is the impatient kid who can't sit still, so it makes sense he would pick the fast fire monkey, whereas Dawn, the slowpoke, takes the earth turtle. Empoleon also looks like Lucas with his Platinum jacket.

She is the canon protagonist though. Her and May are the only canon female protagonists so far. B2W2 and Sun/Moon don't have confirmed protagonists yet so there's still room for Rosa and Moon.
