I need to know when their natures are 'locked'.
I currently saved outside the burnt tower,but I'm wondering if I can go in & beat my rival and save before going down the ladder and making the 3 dogs move,would their natures still be 'unlocked'?

The dogs' natures are determined in two different ways
The first one is when you release them the first time
The other way is defeating them and beating the E4, they will come back with a different nature.

Sorry if I didn't word it good enough but I meant,how close can I get to them so I can save before they get their natures decided.

You need to save BEFORE they run
Look up Shiny hunting videos to see an exact position
Also, why don't you do this in ORAS? They'll have better IVs
