Have people decompiled the whole game to prove this? Seems stupid of them to completely remove working code for the best features in the game when they reused tons of stuff from XY. Then again, it's Game Freak.

I'm pretty sure it's been proven yes, besides, they'd have no reason to remove triples and rotations from Battle Spot if they were still in the code. The only obvious explanation is that the the framerate was unfixable with the addition of trainer models in battle.

Jesus Christ how horrifying. I played exactly one inverted battle and never did again because all I did was eat shit. Maybe with SM showing you what moves are effective it would be a little better, but changing everyone's type at will? Gracious.

....that would actually make battling pretty damn fun then. It's a pretty mindless game, but having everything inversed for 5 turns means you'd have to actually pay attention and think.
