The 2018 Switch game isn't Gen 8. It's Gen 1-7 Ashanime style.
-You start out in Pallet Town and progress through all the regions in order.
-All regions are played with current gen game mechanics.
-All Pokémon are available between two versions of the game, including mythicals, etc.
How would you feel about this?
Ideas on starters, when to introduce mega/Z-moves, etc?
>all regions meme
Just fuck my level curve and progression up senpai
I can't wait to battle wild level 100 Staraptor on Route 201!

Would it make more sense to scale wild/trainer Pokémon to your level or make you box your team with each new region?
Go to a new region, meet the profession, get a new starter. Let you pull your old mons out for the league?

If gf makes an all region game, they would never be able to satisfy people with single/double region games anymore.
They would have to keep doing it for every game afterwards, and I don't think they'd be down for that.
As fun as traveling all over the poke world would be, I imagine it would become exhausting or tedious after a while. It might be their endgame if gf ever goes out of business or decides to end pokemon for good (hopefully never).

I don't think a normal Pokémon game is enough content on constitute a console game though.
Would you be satasified spending that much money on a typical handheld experience?

Good. Leave gen 8 for a real portable.

I'd rather just have a new Gen with new Pokemon desu. If I wanted to play old regions I'd just play old games. The "updated remastered graphics" really isn't a selling point when it comes to remakes of previous regions.

At that stage you might as well just play the games we already have.

Obviously it would be optional to box your team, the idea here being when you get to the league you have all your old mons to draw on but you went through the new region with a fresh team so you wouldn't be on easy mode the whole time. OR you know when you get to a region your pokemon don't listen to you until you get something like 6 badges from the new region.

I think scaling the enimies to the level of your current team would be the best option.
Fight Brock with a Bulbasaur and he's got an aproperatly leveled Geodude, fight him with a Venasaur and he's got a leveled Graveler.

You can easily fit both the tablet and the Joycons in one pocket.
>>32995730
Care to explain how? I cant even git mine into my baggiest pockets.
>>32992905
>All regions are played with current gen game mechanics.
Only good on papers, never in an actual game.
>>32992956
Lol, 201. You can have a level 80 in your party even by the end of one region. If you aren't running through Hoenn facing down level 100 Wingulls, they've fucked up.

With the Joycon their either hugely obese or lying. I'm 240 lbs and wear oversized clothes (someone more like 275 lbs could probably wear my clothes easily) because I can't stand even the slightest bit of restriction and even I can't get it in my pockets with the Joycon attached.
It is entirely possible to fit the tablet in one pocket and the Joycon in another though.
It's not like you need them attached when you're not playing it so having to detach them to fit them in your pocket is no argument.
>>32996507
Oops, *they're either hugely obese or lying, not their.
>>32996507
>having to detach them to fit them in your pocket is no argument.
No more an argument than complaining about having to shut the 3DS to fit it in your pocket, anyway.
>>32993277
I've seen bigger smartphones.
If people could carry big shit like Ipads and tablets around why should this be any different, right?
>>32996507
I have put both my switch and my joycons in my pocket right now and they fit
I know 'more' is always appealing to people, but having to slog through that many regions I'm already familiar with sounds like a chore.
