How can dunsparce be viable. Can he only be used as a flincher in a trick room team?

If Dunsparce was fairy type it would be S-rank OU

Doesn't even need TR, really. The paralyse from Glare or T-Wave works well in keeping speed manageable.
You could try a Coil set, I suppose, but flinching is the best way to make use of the entire Dunsparce kit, with tools like Body Slam, Headbutt and Rock Slide at it's disposal to make use of it's alright ATK.

Not with Clefable around. Clefable outclasses like half of all fairy types.

Not so much since the nerf.
Secret power with grassy terrain is a fun gimmick.

With stuff like Charge Beam and Shadow Ball's chance of lowering SpDef increased by Serene Grace, it can be a special wallbreaker of sorts.

>+6 252+ SpA Dunsparce Breakneck Blitz (200 BP) vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 579-682 (82.3 - 97%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
Not bad.

It's kinda nice as a flincher in triples with Rock Slide.
Chance for not flinching something at all is at around 6.4%, only slightly lower than the chance to get a crit (6.25%)
Chance to flinch everyone is at 21.6%
Chance to flinch one thing is 28.8%
Chance to flinch two things is at 43.2%
64.8% chance that you will flinch at least one Pokemon
And it has enought bulk to survive most spread moves
