Why were drinks (Soda Pop; Lemonade) nerfed in Sun/Moon?
>>
Do you even use them?
>>
>>32987015
I did in other games for cheap healing items
>>
I feel like they wanted people to use Potions more for some reason? Especially regular and Super Potions, since Hyper Potions got nerfed
>>
Promotes bad habits, just like the gaming corner.
>>
>>32987034
They probably did it to encourage people to use Poke Pelago more and grow berries.

Late game, there's no reason to use any healing items other than Revive, Full Restore, Lum Berry, and Sitrus Berry.
Early game, However, it's now worth using Super Potion and nothing else.
Still mad about the drinks nerf and the stats up item buff tho.
>>
>>32987008
Why even bother when you can grow fucktons of Sitrus berries?
>>
They scaled them to the cost more to make it more retard proof instead of teaching children to look at things like the price per pound/kilo when shopping.
>>
>>32987247
This. Literally never have to use potions or any of that shit ever again.
>>
>>32987719
>letting your pokemon become dehydrated
you are an awful trainer
>>
>>32987015
Yes, theyre cheaper and better than super potions.
>>
Wow really never noticed. I didn't even notice the nerfed hyper potion
>>
>>32987741
There's water in the berries. And pokemon don't drink the potions anyway.
>>
>>32987759
>filling your pokemon with that many berries
are you trying to make your pokemon diabetic?
>>
>>32987008
why do you care?
>>
>>32987775
It's ok they can work it off in the battle tree or the mines if they're shitters
>>
>>32987060
God I hope the poke pelago returns. Having 999 sitrus and leppa berries to toss around while SOS chaining is a beautiful thing.

Who am I kidding? After USUM, they're never coming back.
>>
>>32987839
Mines? Don't you mean the daycare?
>>
>>32987348
Did they also change the fact that you get a better deal buying multiple super repels than max repels?
>>
>>32987906
I guess the pelago mine?
>>
>>32987008
Because in previous games they were cheaper than regular Potions but restored more health

A Lemonade cost 350P and restored 80 HP
A Super Potion cost 700P but only restored 50 HP

Ever since FRLG i would always stock on Lemonades and almost never bought regular Super Potions. Kind of glad GameFreak finally noticed this. Better late than never I guess.
>>
>>32989762
Oh, and worth adding is they nerfed Hyper Potions for a similiar reason. Unless the player solo'd the whole game with the starter, an endgame Pokemon would rarely go above level 65. The old Hyper Potion, which restored a whopping 200 HP, would thus easily last you until the very end of the game, making the much more expensive Max Potions completely pointless. Now they only heal 120 hit points which is more balanced and fair.
>>
>>32989794
Why does balanced and fair matter in a single player game?
>>
Why not
among the other changes they did, rebalancing the items was one of my favourites
>>
>>32989816
they have no reason to have been rebalanced when they serve no purpose in online
>>
>>32989794
>Now they only heal 120 hit points which is more balanced and fair.
More like utterly pointless, considering moomoo milk heals 100 and it's basically free in s/m.
>>
>>32989824
fuck off with your online millenial faggot
>>
>>32989811
I consider it a sign of good game design but to each their own.

Where can you even buy Moomoo Milks in SM?

Festival Plaza.

This

I always thought that the better efficiency of foods over potions was balanced by them being basically novelty items with scarce availability, but then in gen5 they just started basically forcefeeding you foods that are much better than the potions and are fucking everywhere, so eh.

villa upgrades in platinum and some ofthe ribbons you can buy in oras
