That honestly sounds like a good idea in my opinion.

Literally never, this thing is pretty good even in Uber environment. In fact it's one of the worst box legendaries you could think of dropping into OU. The combination of its typing, bulk, power and movepool lets it run about a dozen different sets with completely different counterplay you can't possibly pack in just 6 teamslots in addition to checks for its checks. The April Fools meta was fun at first, but got incredibly cancerous in two days when it turned out you usually have no fucking idea how to respond to opponent's Giratina.
If you want to drop a box legend into OU, try Zekrom. It's also uncounterable, but the omnipresent Ground types in OU make punishing it a lot easier and it doesn't have defensive setup like Giratina's Calm Mind.
