New to Shiny hunting using Macros. I'm kinda aware that you need to download homebrew to link the 3ds to your computer and then use a macro. Is there a more clearcut and precise guide for someone who knows next to nothing about homebrew, etc?

I work at a garden as a part-time supervisor, and today's my day off. I guess you can say I'm a time management savant since I use as much systems as possible to shiny hunt, but at the same time, my luck hasn't been what it use to be. It comes and goes, so I occupy my time either by drinking or playing other games. I've pretty much lost having a social life.

Ohhh, gotchu. Nah, that doesn't reset the seed at all. The only way you can reset the seed of a shiny egg is removing the Ditto from the Day Care. So you can get Magikarp back all you'd like to save and start saving up eggs again, but if you take out the Ditto, the counter goes back to 0

I collected magikarp eggs until 1 before then swapped it in. Was going to move onto breeding a 6iv shinx, then back to karping for the shiny, but I realized my shinx is in a beast ball from WT. Which is obviously hacked, right?

Yes, they could have caught a luxio in a beast ball, then breed it to get a shinx. It's also possible to get one that also has its hidden ability if they bred it with one that was transferred from a previous gen.

Absolutely. Same thing applies if I catch a shiny in its first stage. If I can obtain its second stage, then I'll go for it, but since calls rates are lower for second stages, I usually catch multiple first-stage Pokemon and evolve them, like 3 shiny Pikipeks, etc.
