Japan has the superior logos. Much more detail went into them than the other releases. Take for instance the quality of the Japanese Diamond logo. It's texture resembles a diamond, while we got boring text that just says "DIAMOND"

Yes, but that all changes with HG/SS when the English subtitles also got stylized.

I'm probably a bit biased, but I honestly think the English logos post-HG/SS are a bit better. While they don't incorporate everything (namely the "Pokemon" portion of the logo) into the games' themed designs, I do think they come off as more readable and somewhat easier on the eyes because of that.

I see where you are coming from, and I do agree with you, but it just irks me that it took them how many years to add more color than the standard blue/yellow combination for the Pokémon text.
Oh well, what's over is over. We can't change the past, so we might as well accept it.
