I predict for online stuff, GF will implement a basic Global Terminal with all trade and battle features of G7 plus a new one or two. Many people hate Festival Plaza and it's gimmick will have worn off by 2018. GF will also want something that can be easily copied to Sinnoh. With single screen, you will never see PSS again...

There will of course be a mini-game like Poke Finder and Contests. But I think the mini-game in the first core pair on Switch will not be related to Contests. Because GF will want to save that gimmick for DP remakes. Same for Secret Bases.
