Moving around the world and battling is smooth and convenient. That doesn't mean that the maps or dialogue are good.

I'd make a list but national park alone would be enough to get it to people but retards why this game's stages were god-tier.
And GSC music is considered one pf the best in the franchise, and in hgss you can fully expierence that.

>And GSC music is considered one pf the best in the franchise, and in hgss you can fully expierence that.
No you can't, the music from GB sounds isn't the same as the original you can compare them on youtube. By level design I thought you meant the level curve, which was garbage in the originals and never fixed.

Level Design +1
Pokémon +4
Visuals -4
Story +3
Longevity +3
Overall +3

That's game design, and yes, it was improved a bit from the original, and no, it isn't that bad. Stop memeing for justify your being bad at a kid's game.
And outside the quality of the soundfonts, gsc music is generally better, and more memorable in the first place, while in XY and mostly SM the music has started to become more bland, forgettable and unisprired.
>>32963477
Sun and Moon have great pokemon designs, the problem is the terrible ones are the starters' final stages
>>32964007
By pokemon I perceived dex roster, and for some reason I felt unsatisfied with my SM team, and I still feel so. I think there are few new early interesting mon, boring old ones (alola forms didn't get me at all).
Strange since I've never felt this undatisfaction watching my complete team.

>Stop memeing for justify your being bad at a kid's game.
The final boss being 20 levels more than the previous boss with the only way to get you to that level is by grinding monsters 20 levels below the boss making it tedious is bad game design.
>>32964050
agreed, I like some new designs (mimikyu, cutiefly, roach, the tapus, vikabolt, taunt bait and so on) but it feels like Alola needed more mons, I never used the starters cause I hate them and that made me feel even worse; still, I think some of the new designs are good enough to make SUMO better than 1/10 in that aspect

Slightly less than average game.
>>32963477
Good, I'm pleased to see that a lot of people dislike sun and moon. It's a Pokémon game that wasn't aimed for long time fans. It felt like a dumbed down version of everything, hell even X and Y had more content than
this, and still manage to also run MUCH more smoothly, (allowing triple battles etc) The only good thing to come out of SM is honestly is the music and some of the new Pokémon, the rest, completely inferior to other games.
There is only one game that will EVER deserve a perfect score in terms of audio.

Some categories count more than others. Good gameplay and visuals means very little when the level design sucks as much as it does. Level design is the most important aspect for Pokemon.

May as well give my own rating
Gameplay: 7/10
The game runs pretty well, but the engine is a bit on the slow side, and even starting a battle takes a whileWhich is why this gen would have been perfect for DPPt remakes. Nostalgic speeds
Level Design: 6/10
The routes are beautiful, and there are some side areas to explore. But it's still pretty linear, and the Pokemon distribution is awful at times
Pokemon: 10/10
The designs have so much personality, it's great to see! Now if only they'd revamp the animations of older Pokemon to give them personality...
The new Pokedex entries are great, too
Audio: 8/10
Bit inappropriate at times, but overall it sounds wonderful
Visuals: 7/10
Looks pretty stunning, but unfortunately loses points both for some textures being low res enough that the pixellation clashes with the models and because CIA showd that they gimped themselves
Story: 4/10
An average story, bit frustrating at times, but... Eh, average
Longevity: 4/10
Better than some games, worse than others. I'm including postgame in this
Overall: 6
An ok game. Reminder that 5 is average, a perfectly ok game. A score of 5 or 6 means the game is still enjoyable to a degree, it just has issues it can work on
Here is my rating.

Any of the gen 4 games
man, the only thing that impressed me in SM was the story/characters. Hands-down the best story in a pokemon game, I was actually kinda invested in Lilie and her shitty mom, Guzma and the Team Skull retards were fun, and Hau turned out to not be as annoying as I thought he would be.
It's still not even really above average when it compares to other RPGs, but if you give SM a 1 then every other Pokemon game must be in the fucking negatives.
>>32965485
The story is pretty terrible if you aren't a braindead retard who doesn't look past the surface.
>>32965485
No, I actually give other Pokemon games higher story scores for NOT having story because I feel that narrative is detrimental to the experience.
>>32965485
i don't think the story and characters were all that bad, per se, but the implementation of it was so ham fisted.
but even so, the story could of been a lot better.
