Not only that, but Carbuncle's function in most of FF titles is a summon that cast "reflect" on the party, a spell that protects users by reflecting back the enemy magic.

It WOULD actually look good if it wasn't such a strong tone of green in the game, compared to its official art. Green is a color that's very hard to fit on things and not make it look bad. It's one of the reasons why I'm glad they're now actually making the shiny pallets.
