It would be pretty cool if you could go to Johto in the reremakes but they are set 3 years before gold/silver so you get to fight Falker's dad and maybe a different gym leader for Goldenrod City but that is all wishful think maybe a rom hack will do that.

Why do you think the Kanto shilling will ever stop? The most you'll ever see of Sinnoh will be Lucario, Gamefreaks honorary gen 1 pokemon

Would be acceptable if they made the story revolve around Mewtwo, Mew and Dr. Fuji. Would probably make for the best games when it comes to lore, actually.

They really should do that in US/UM. Make Kanto postgame and expand on it since it's been about 10 years since the Gen 1/3 games in the original timeline.

Have the fucking St. Anne show up at a dock somewhere in Alola since it's supposed to travel the world and have it take us back to Kanto.

Would be a MUCH better way to remake the originals than doing them as a standalone game/region again.

Since time has passed and we're in a different timeline anyway, they can easily retcon the yearly portion of the description of the St. Anne travels. In 10 years it could easily have either stopped traveling around the world on a yearly cycle or have never done it in the first place here.
