based on the first stages alone, I would probably go with the snail and be reasonably happy (though ANOTHER Fighting starter would be annoying.) but I would definitely be envious of that rabbit. Better than any fire start we've had for the last 15 years at least.

Box. They're alright designs, but kind of monotonous as starters. Three bipedal furries, great if you like that sort of thing but don't present much choice to people with tastes outside of anthro animals. Fire, if you stick a gun to my head? It's got the most interesting design.

The blue guy is mostly fine, final evolution looks too serious. The main problem here is that ANY design that relies on "swirl icon" is automatically tragic.

I'll give you that, but that's literally the pattern GF has been attempting for the past 2 gens. So personally I don't see a problem. It's modest enough for Pokemon. Especially when designs like Lopunny (literal playboy Bunny), Salazzle (Just look at it), and Tsareena exist which are inherently sexual just by design.
