It does exist: it's called Kyurem.

They specifically say that Kyurem is the thing's corpse, or whatever is left behind after Reshiram and Zekrom split from it. People just weren't satisfied with this and kept perpetuating the "but where's the REAL original dragon?" shit.

Kyurem is the husk/corpse.
Black Mode and White Mode are when half of its essence/power is returned (forcefully and against the laws of nature, basically scientific necromancy).
We still have never seen what it was like when its full essence is returned to it naturally, I don't think we ever will but, that is what people want to see. I for one hate Reshiram, Zekrom and all of Kyurem's forms so I have no desire for another, I just understand what it is that people want.

Please. Gamefreak isn't smart enough to do something clever like that. The original dragon did exist, it'll just never be shown.

You know why I hate everyone's fanart of how it'd look?
Because they're getting the idea wrong.
As much as I love the shit out of Nutz, he totally missed the point when he drew pic related. The original dragon would look nothing like this.
See, Reshiram and Zekrom and Kyurem look the way they do - edgy and overdesigned - because they are incomplete. They look fragmented because they ARE, themselves, fragmented.
If all three combined, they would become whole again - thus taking on a more "natural" appearance, more like Salamence than anything else. Not some weird, scary xenomorph thing like pic related.

I dare someone to draw the Original Dragon like it should look.

Here's something I found interesting: If you consider that the original dragon had all of the strengths of its parts (that is, the highest base stats from the 3 dragons) its base stat total would be exactly 800. It could join Mega Rayquaza in AG.
