They're based on the kahunas. Akala gets the pinkish brown one, UlaUla gets the black one, MeleMele gets the white one, Poni gets the yellow one.

Which would mean that the E4 could be different. Whoever is the dark (and ground!) type Kahuna in USUM could've accepted the E4 title.

Grimsley might become the first League Member to be a League Member of two different Leagues when not counting the Indigo people (and not counting Caitlin either because not only the battle facilities are postgame, but for all we know, the Sinnoh and Johto ones are actresses portraying the real Lady Caitlin.)

This proves they are different. The bottom on the Ula Ula one is darker than the actual Z-Ring, while the Z-Ring from USM is all the same color of dark. Also, there's a grey line outside of the white "Z" on the USM one, you can see it next to the player's finger, while it's not there on the Ula Ula one. The Ula Ula "Z" is a lot bigger than the USM one.
