It's still around, it's just nintendo has been enforcing its "no outside software" rule lately. So if you're using any DS updated since fall that has homebrew on it 2018 Nintendo has right to ban you for breaking TOS. That's ANY homebrew, BTW. People have been banned for custom themes and backup tools like the offline "pokebank" clone.

This is why smart injectors use two DS systems. One not updated (old TOS) with the software on it and one updated (new TOS) with no homebrew on it.
