everything else is a meme
1 exception: if you do like an EB boss with all items (C1, atk, dd, ms, +5). Since you dont need to care for srank or catching it. And all items is usually more than 10k coins. So in this case you can use a jewel for all items if the stage allows it of course
2 exception: when grinding with dri and you save more than 30k-40k coins with it

1 jewel will give you around 10k+ due to unlocking 3 plays of the thing. It's worth it when you're down on coins and need them for the week, I've done it at least six times since you could start paying in the jewel for 3 plays. 1 jewel is basically 1-2 days of grinding 37.
