I am playing around more with Digimon and this is the only reason to go Sony. I am tempted to boot up Digimon Dusk again, But kinda not a fan of how grindy it started feeling to get the Digimon I wanted.

Have also been joking with friends on figuring out how a 'Season One/Two' Tabletop would work with ideas of:

The other issue is do we randomize what Digimon we get and what it can Digivolve to (within limits) or do people get a choice in picking their line up that fits within reason. It is also mingled since we have people arguing for taking certain Digimon and making custom Digimon to go with it like...

It's fucking retarded to act like Digimon and Pokemon are somehow opposing franchises just because they both involve battling monsters. Aside from that they are completely different.

I will say that the Digimon franchise does what I wish the Pokemon franchise would do: evolve. Every Digimon World game is a fairly significant departure from the last, they throw out or change what didn't work, improve what did, and try lots of new things. Because of this there's no consistent, base level of quality like there is with Pokemon but when they are good they're very good.
