I know how most people wont spend a time on this game because Niantic and Hanke fucking nigger jew'd the shit out of it. But you should use an external battery pack if you have one laying around for other shit besides your phone, because it takes the load off the battery.

Just charge your phone to 100% and leave the house if you are going to go to a specific area to play for a extended period of time or battle a gym before a raid boss drops for that guaranteed 1 hour of gym slot protection, and before you open the game/app when you get wherever, plug in the portable battery pack to your phone, open app/game, and yeah. It helped with my old Motorola, but the motherboard and main cpu/gpu, fuck everything internal,. was well known to overheat online, but it is a pretty fast and reliable phone with a 2-3 day lasting non removable battery, so yeah.

This happens especially if you leave the game for a second or switch apps to fuck with some music and switch back without reopening it the game all over again, and of course related to this is not seeing Pokemon for like 1 min because the game thinks you are spoofing or something, I hate when the nearby Pokemon goes blank, takes forever to load.

I hope they release gen 3 soon, theres barely any pokemon i need now, and i live in the middle of nowhere so gyms arent something i get to do often aside from twice a week or so. Is Wobbuffet a good defender? I mean, I know it does shitall for damage but if it can waste an attacker's time it might be nice for holding gyms longer. Turnover rate is really high where I am and the only thing that stops people is frustration from needing to fight Snorlax/Blissey.

Sitting there bashing on a blissey for several minutes while taking minimal damage and being bored is not an exciting game experience. They need to do something about meat shield pokemon, they add nothing to the game except boredom and frustration.

Cought another Snorlax today. They turned down the catch rate a lot, two days ago Snorlax had yellow circle, now its red just like Tyranitar. Met some teammates, took some gyms, lost these gyms, got 9 coins.

Most level 3 raids expect to need at least two players.
Maybe Jolteon and Flareon are frail enough to solo but I don't know, I doubt it.
I did a Flareon raid earlier, introduced an older guy who was level 29 to his first raid, he enjoyed it. He didn't seem to have very good Pokémon, his auto-selected roster was full of unremarkable stuff except for a CP 2.6k Vaporeon.
There was a third player at that raid, we did fine.

If maybe one more person showed up we could have, but the real problem was that gym battles are fucked and the game can't decide if we actually dodged the solar beam or not.

Xatu doesn't have a fast Psychic attack, although it does get Future Sight.
Espeon gets both Confusion and Future Sight.

Magneton certainly fits the bill there.
It's max CP is only 2237, but it's excellent typing and access to Spark/Zap Cannon makes it a superb all-rounder for many of the common threats.
For raids though, I wouldn't use it because it's lacking in DPS, which is more important than survivability.

I know STAB got nerfed, but my bigger concern is hitting weaknesses. If your quick attack is SE but your charge attack isn't (or vice versa), or even worse resisted, it seems like you'll be losing a ton of DPS than you would with a same-type moveset. Especially given how broken switching can be with all the lag.

But for defenders it makes sense, yeah. I think the only stat that really matters is if its named Blissey though.

As a pure walkfag, I don't like this new gym system.

Back when I hit level 25 in February was the time I decided to start taking on gyms. It was incredibly difficult, especially for a suburb dwelling Instinct player. I wandered to the outskirts of my suburbs just to reach certain gyms. It wasn't until I hit level 28 that I managed to secure about 10-12 consistent gym spots. It was a satisfying feeling, and I felt like I earned it, and no longer did I have to go out of my way and murder my legs for a few coins. Sure I lost a spot or two every week, but it was what it was. The most important thing was that it was consistent.

Now, I have to frantically run about finding new gyms every single day, or revisiting old ones because a Pokemon was kicked out too early. It's punishing on me because all these gyms are so spread apart, and without resorting to carfagging/spoofing I cannot ideally meet these demands. I worked hard to get those spots in gyms with the previous system. Now, it doesn't matter whether I get two gyms or twenty gyms, it's no guarantee I'll get anything, especially in my shitty backwater town.

This is the biggest problem with the gym update. Consistency. With the old system, I used to love booting up Pokemon Go and hitting the button to cash in on my gym sitters. It was something to look forward to every morning before I went out for work. It was satisfying, and I was guaranteed a reward every day. It felt good because I earned it. With this new system, I don't feel like I'm earning anything. I can shove a 10 CP Pidgey or a 3000 CP Dragonite into the gym and it means fuck all, and I have to desperately hope that someone on an opposing team kicks it out the next day after it's sat at least a few hours in order to get anything.

I don't care how low the coin limit gets, Hanke. Just give me some fucking consistency.

After a few days of battling gyms and being booted out 5 minutes later I've just stopped and just occasionally look at the app to see if someone else is hitting a gym and leech off them. There's no incentive whatsoever to be the guy that actually puts the effort into taking gyms down in this system. To be fair that's the same as before, but at least it only took like 5 minutes to kill a level 3 gym in the previous system and you were guaranteed a payout.

I can't imagine you'll get a whole lot done for pacing back and forth in a 10 foot line. I mean, unless your phone is incredibly accurate. PoGo+ only lets you track distance while your screen is off. Doesn't improve accuracy.

What you just need to do is mark a path where you can walk straight for a minute at a time without like, straight up jogging or some shit that you can't sustain for an hour. Make it a square. Then just walk one edge per minute of the square. If you finish the edge before a minute's up, wait at the corner until the minute is up before walking again.

My area has 7 Pokestops on a 2x1 minute rectangle so I spin 7 stops every 6 minutes while catching shitmons. This is how I farm items and dust like an autist while walking eggs when the weather is nice and I'm not smashing a gym.
