How does it change the meta?
Shit. How about "If holder is the Pokemon with the lowest Speed, it will attack first."
>>32906704
Which Pokemon will become more viable/more popular? Which cores will be seen more? Which counters will be developed?
>>32906704
So in a multi battle with only 1 slower pokemon, it already becomes useless?
>>32906704
Stupidly broken
>>32906704
Shit. How about "if a pokemon holds this item you win the battle".
>>32906682
I want a Pokémon with an ability that activates trick room on switch in. Like the Koko's Abilities or the Weather Abilities.
Also, I want Fog back for Evasion trolling
>>32906977
What slowmon would abuse this?
>>32907290
Escavalier.
Great bulk and only one weakness. Set up a Swords Dance and sweep.
>>32906704
Fucking rampardos would be OU, if not uber
>>32907305
Nah, OU at best.
Its defenses are pretty mediocre and priority Aqua Jet/Bullet Punch exists.
>>32907361
And don't forget mach punch, entry hazards and prankster will-o-wisp. And rock type moves having shit accuracy
>>32907041
Knowing Game Freak, they'll give it toDeoxys Speed
>>32907290
>Escavalier becomes Uber
>Magearna banned
>Slowbro rises back to OU
>Rampardos OU
>Crabominable and Aurorus actually viable
>Vikavolt rises
>>32908259
Also
>Drampa becomes UU Latios
>>32908259

Scratch that. Slow box would make all of those mons OU. It totally eliminates the ongoing debate about using a fast attacker (should I use Modest/Adamant or Jolly/Timid) and the whole Band/Specs vs Scarf choice when picking out a set.
A -speed nature like Brave or Quiet suddenly becomes a +speed AND +attack nature, and because you're so slow you outspeed evergthing. It's like using a choice scarf, but you're able to pick your moves. And with the whole speed creep, mons like Escavalier, Crabominable, Vikavolt, Rampardos, and Drampa now out (or rather under) speed the entire tier, and hit harder with less drawbacks.
It totally removes the opportunity cost for Choice items and essentially allows specific natures to boost two stats. That item is unbelievably broken.

It's like you guys don't even play Pokemon.
Why limit the hypothetical item to Trick Room? Make a "Room Extender", just like how there's a Terrain Extender.
Extends Trick Room, Wonder Room, and Magic Room to 8 turns.
Introduce an auto-Trick Room ability and give it to a Pokemon that deserves a buff, like Dusknoir or Beheeyem.
>>32908513
>dusknoir or beheeyem
the mon that REALLY needs auto trick room isreuniclus
>>32908589
>giving auto-trick room to an RU pokemon that can still function in higher tiers instead of a PU shitmon that desperately needs it
>>32908589
Fuck off, Beheeyem needs it more
