I hope it's Atleast 480p and without lag
>>32900174
>480p
switchcucks, everyone
>>32900174
probably SM graphics but at 720p and a stable framerate
>>32900174
>pokemon
>no lag
>>32900174
SM graphics at 1080p with some upscaled textures. Game Freak won't put in any more effort than that
>>32900460
>>32900190
...Not sure how to break it to you, but the switch is 720p/1080p.
Gen 8 can easily be described with "Gen 7 but with better textures" because that's exactly what GameFreak's going to do.
All the Pokemon are already future-proofed beyond texture work, and I don't expect the Humans to require models beyond what SM gave us.
I hope it's like this https://youtu.be/NRRd8wIzI14
>>32900174
Okay, I'll bite.
Why 480p?
>>32900460
>Upscaled textures
So you're fine with jaggies, then?
>>32900174
At least 720p 30fps and has shaders
>>32900447
>gen 3 ran at 60 FPS
Good times
Please I don't want to get my hopes up only for them to be broken again
>>32902084
What is this?
>>32900174
am I weird for wanting the old grid based style back?
since X&Y full 3D feels strange.
>>32902317
I'd say yes.
All we need is the d-pad control back. Stick is inaccurate garbage for anything but camera control.
And before someone tries to say it because every time I mention the bulshit of it's removal from S/M, no, it's not linked to a grid. I play most PC games with a controller, and that includes hundreds of games that do not have a grid.
>>32902293
An arcade in japan. It's called ga-ole. It also has accurate sizes. This is what I want gen 8 too look like.
>>32902317
Yeah your weird. 2018-2019 release and you sprites instead of hd 3d
>>32902579
We're getting HD 3d. Confirmed by the job listing. Thank god we aren't going back to sprites. Pokémon need to advance in graphics as a franchise, not go back.
>>32902528
What kind of hardware is Ga-Ole running on, anyway?
>>32902901
I have no idea. Probably switch tier since its an arcade
>>32902528
>>32902084
Fug, I would kill for graphics like this.
>>32903171
>Arcade
>Running ARM
>>32903443
I don't know. But the switch games can easily look like that
>>32900702
The sm trainer models were low poly
Gen 6 and 7's visual style but with somewhat better cel-shading, proper proportions, more dynamic camera, much better textures, and somewhat higher poly models for everything except the Pokemon, and still plenty of lag and framedrops caused by poor coding. Gen 9, also likely on Switch, will have much higher poly models for everything including the Pokemon, much more detailed environments, and bigger lag issues, but not noticeably bigger than Gen 8 if you play on a Switch Pro.
>>32900675
That's the point. He's implying people who like the Switch don't even know the specs of its hardware.
>>32905749
I hope they drop cell-shading and go to shaders
>>32905756
I don't, at all. Trying to mimic the Sugimori art is the best path to take, being a unique aesthetic that matches the series. They just need more work and better hardware to truly achieve that ideal.
