Meganium Thread

Now I'm just picturing a Meganium playing with my kids on a summer day. Not the best pokemon, but I imagine they'd make good family pets

meganium is a bro. not my first jhoto starter, but definitely my favorite one.

it also continues gen1 in that this is a reptilian starter- in gen1 they all were, but in gen 2 quilava came.

Was my last Jhoto pick back in the day, but now is my favorite of the three. Always allowed for an easy time against Whitney. Reflect, Mud Slap, and Headbutt always made sure that Miltank's Rollout never gained momentum.

I hope it gets a Mega that gives it +20 Defense, +40 SpAtk, +40 SpDef, Grass/Fairy typing, and Fur Coat. Maybe then it will be useful. Also I'm hoping it looks positively elegant.

People shit on it ingame for not being Typhlosion or Feraligatr, but it's got some nice support options, and Geodude nearly completely covers it's weaknesses anyway. It's still pretty damn good.

People shit on it ingame because it's garbage in almost all aspects in a region where the deck is already stacked against Grass-types.

Always have loved meganium, always will. i like bayleef better though

How does the Chikorita line hold up in HGSS? Thinking of trying a playthrough with Meganium.

As I get older Meganium started too grow on me. It's a pretty comfy pokemon. Any decent movesets for it?

it's decent, don't expect it to carry you through anything. makes a pretty good dual screen support

This. Overall, Meganium is just okay in HGSS, but it is pretty good at support moves. It really helped me out big time against Red.
