anyone have any comfy IRL pokemon stories? Like times playing the games with friends or meeting people through pokemon were comfy?
I've met people who played but not really ever anyone through the games. Actually I think I've met people who wanted to reach out to me and bro out but I'm very antisocial. Sorry!
I'm in bed on phone, can't type much, just wanna say hope u all have a nice weekend!
why do all my threads die

Don't worry, anon, it's my special ability too.
>>32900668
Maybe because
- People hardly ever post anything new
- They have better things to do on a Friday
- Waifu and starterwar threads are valued more, which says something about the state of this board

My brother and I used to play Diamond and Pearl a lot together. When we first played the games, my brother wanted to race against me on who beats the game first. I won in the end, but after that, we bummed around by going to Sinnoh Underground or go to the Battle Tower or battle against each other. I would always lose, but we still had fun anyway.
My brother doesn't play Pokemon anymore, but he's still a great person and is happy to play anything else. But it's been a while since I talked to him ever since he moved out.

I wish. Coolest story I've got is that I made a friend a summer camp and we dicked around making a bunch of dumb fakemon like a sky scraper that would eat people, an toaster that would shoot butter, and the like.

A big portion of people in my life got me into this game I won't forget. I play showdown all the time with my friends and I really love it.

Nz isn't tropical at all, but my area is one of the closest.
>x and y came out
>all the Pokemon fans in my group of friends got it
>had a comfy bbq evening and drinks and later drunk pokemon by the fire pit
>similar thing a few months later at another friends house
>myself and one friend woke up first, cleaned up cans and bottles and sat down to breed
>hatched a shiny Larvesta
What region is comfiest?

I was very shy as a kid and had a lot of anxiety around people, but Pokemon was the one thing that got me out if my shell. I've made so many friends over trading Pokemon cards and playing Pokemon when I was younger. I feel as though the games themselves helped me evolve as a person.
I've always loved the philosophical and existential thoughts that people dotted around the regions of the pokeworld share with the player of the game if you take the small moment to I redacted with those NPC. Idk who started this in the games, but I love it, and them. Ppl often think Pokémon games are for kids (i.e. immature) but they don't know about these things that I love. Might sound cheesy. But I've genuinely valued the often I sightful and moving thoughts and questions that the writers have notched amongst the Pokémon games via the NPC. Joy, sadness, loneliness, popularity, success, defeat... There are so many titbits I've come across, cherish, and look forward to discovering more in future games.

Northwestern Pennsylvania, where we compete to be the snowiest region in the US. I can appreciate snowy pictures for their comfiness, but snow is really awful. Having to shovel 1-2 feet of snow because a blizzard came through the night before and the city is too "snow ready" to bother shutting down, having the snow plow block your driveway by shoving its collected dense, heavy, icy snow into your freshly shoveled driveway, icy conditions causing accidents and huge delays in traffic, getting the undercarriage of your car destroyed by all the salt used on the roads, freezing cold wind that punishes you for every bit of exposed skin, it's pretty miserable all around, even if it is pretty. For me the real comfy winter scenes come from the contrast with the cold: images of people warming up by a fireplace or bundled in blankets sipping a warm drink.

I second this.Overall, the snow and the cold are really a bitch when you have to do literally anything involving going outside.
But, some of my comfiest memories are from being snowed in. Curling up by the heater in pjs, staying up late playing pokemon because school is closed the next day due to coming storms. Theres just some special feeling from listening to the wind howl and the snow beating on your window while youre inside nice and warm with a good book or game.
I dont have cozy pictures but heres some cozy music
