Used to hate it but I really warmed up to it after seeing its battle animations, they're so full of personality. Now I'm totally okay in fact I quite like it

I like it a lot. But I'm biased to cats and tigers, so a fire cat starter becoming a tiger was pretty much everything I'd ask for in a pokemon.

Dreadful design and a huge disappointment. Litten had me psyched to use my first new Fire starter since Gold, but Incineroar dashed those hopes quite expertly. Gen 7's starter designs are nearly as bad as gen 5's, and being as gen 5's starters are the worst in the franchise that's not a desirable place to be.

Luckily, also like gen 5 there's a surfeit of great regular mon designs to fill out a team with. Still, it's hard not to be disappointed by yet another Pokemon that's a Blaziken clone in spirit if not typing.

Do you mean that in the sense of "accept it and move on?" I have done that. Disappointing as Incineroar is, I completed my run through Moon and enjoyed it a great deal, and I'm looking forward to Ultra Moon.

Do you mean "you just need time to acclimate and then you'll like him?" I doubt it. I feel pretty much the same way about the gen 4, 5 and 6 starters as I did on release. Even without the context of the evolution going in a direction I didn't like, Incineroar just has too many distasteful design elements for me to enjoy even if it was a standalone Pokemon.

I like it alot.
Not my favorite, but i find its design to be really fun, i can understand why some people don't like it tho.
I just wished GF didn't fucked its movepool, Incineroar is almost unusable if you don't play in VGC format.

Disappointed at first but it grew on me as did the other starters. It's still not my favorite or anything though and while on first glance I was going to pick kitten I ended up continuing my trend of picking the water starter first in moon. I did pick him in a wonderlocke run of sun and he's a cool guy. I'll be picking rowlet for ultra moon

That's funny, Samurott is objectively one of the worst designs in Pokemon and the only one I dislike more is Serperior. I doubt I'll ever learn to love it. There's over 800 Pokemon, I can safely bury Incineroar and enjoy literal hundreds of others instead.
