It seems that the anime is doing away with the entire concept of Captains.

Hala issued Ashs trial - the question about how to deal with the Ratatta and his battle against the Totemgoose, then followed that up with his Kahuna battle.

Tonight's episode will be interesting, Olivia could be putting Ash through his trials without him even knowing. Having the Mooland Search, fishing with Lana. Both of those were apart of the trials issued by captains. The thing about having the Captains fighting their Totem, would work if not for the fact that besides Ash and Kaki, the class isn't really made up of battlers. The only fights we've seen them take on so far has been Team Rocket. To think that they'd be able to beat a Totem Pokemon with only their starter isn't very likely. I mean, could you imagine Steenee trying to take on Lurantis on it's own? It'd be near impossible given how Rowlet barely put a dent into Gumshooes.

If Ash doesn't wind up fighting each of the core Akala Totems I'll be disappointed. Or, I'm still hoping for the "oh btw we're all captains" drop from his friends. they have the Captain pendants on them, I'll be disappointed if they don't get referenced at some point.

Don't know why but I always thought of Lillie confessing to Mallow that she has a crush on her when would be sleeping over house one night (probably to keep her company because looked lonely day such good gf), and they were playing some truth or dare game choose so Mallow jokingly asks if Lillie liked anyone, not expecting serious answer. But then Lillie starts sweating and stammering and Mallow is like “w-we don’t have to go through with this if you don’t eat to haha-”, but before she can even finish the sentence Lillie loudly blurts out she likes her (like so loud half the mansion could hear). Mallow is speechless and starts blushing, Lillie wants to die a quick death and that’s how it started

The Pokemon dub has been shit since Battle Frontier.

Don't know who was lying about the rest of the AG dub here, but 4Kids kept all the OST in Movies 6 to 8 and the Pikachu Shorts, only a few episodes had any edits at all and most were unedited, and the script was mostly accurate. The only valid point that person had was too much music being replaced in the Anime dub, but we still had episodes that kept 8-10 pieces.

XY is actually one of the series that needs subtitles the most, followed by DP, all thanks to TPCi doing a horrific job with the dub.

Don't use nostalgia as an excuse, because a half-assed, inaccurate dub does not give the full experience. does not give the full experience.

The last two seasons DP and BW's first season are the only times TPCi didn't replace too much music (well, okay, not really true on DP, 38% is not great despite those random episodes), but it's completely offset and negated by Brock and Team Rocket's horrendous voice acting & script writing in the English dub and the intros are still trash, even then. AG's dub (at least, the 4Kids) run still had competent voice and script writing despite the excessive music changes (only in the Anime dub, 4Kids actually kept all the OST in the AG Movies they dubbed & the Pikachu Shorts during the Era).

I thought the Galactic Battles opening was quite good. But yes, DP TR and Brock were garbage. I was just happy to hear that one piece from Pikachu's Summer Vacation make it into a dubbed episode having been replaced literally every time it had been used prior. Arguably the only time the TPCi dub came close to really being good was BW season 1 and the Victini movies. Even then the first BW opening wasn't great. I did like Follow Your Star though, even though the Japanese songs are both superior.

I'd agree, but even then, Sinnoh League Victors was a pretty shitty dub opening, and despite Galactic Battles dub opening probably being the least bad TPCi theme, it still doesn't compare to the majority of the themes 4Kids had from the dub from Indigo to Advanced Battle.

Understandable, I do agree on that one piece from Pikachu's Summer Vacation.

Pretty much, the only time the English dub was actually watchable after 4Kids left during late AG was in early BW, but considering TPCi went back to their old tricks on DP standards with the music in Season 15 and then late BW, XY & SM replacing even more of the OST than 4Kids did in AG for the Anime dub & Movies now, TPCi's dub plummeted downhill to a new low recently so it's pretty much complete shit these days (as I'm sure you're aware).

Agreed on both. There is one thing with the Advanced Battle opening that I have recently spotted that I will never be able to unsee, being the the footage of Pike Queen Lucy's silhouette is not cut properly, leaving a single frame of her between Tucker and Spencer. Once you spot it it really jumps out at you. Granted that's not the song's fault, but it's still a thing.

A good management in stories that are distributed and shared to the world.
Respect animation&original design from japan in Pokémon, without changes or censors in the countries of the world.
Original Pokémon merchandise of premiere: not only available to Japan or surrounding countries, but also to the world. (And do not wait more than a year for just having it).
These things are related for a good way to have Pokémon.
