That's basically my biggest issue with a lot of tumblr fanart, they're so focused on virtue signaling, headcanon, or whatever they over look the actual character. The rest of it is just inexperienced people who haven't looked into the fundamentals drawing stuff for fun and I don't mind that. They'll learn eventually or stay mediocre. Tumblr art is just this decade's bad anime art.

And sometimes you'll get some really stylish art that might not be good in loomis sense the but has cool use of gesture and color.

There might be people out there who are terribly racist which I am against, but honestly, people that promote diversity while making every character drawn with only one specific skin tone you're heavily promoting while shutting down the actual original skin tone they have seems awfully racist too.

It's more like a rectangle with a ball on the end and two pyramid like structures on the side. No nose just goes to a point like that, they have nostrils. I'd honestly just rather see a dot than a triangle, because unless you got a shit character like gru from despicable me where every defining feature is exeggurated beyond belief, my eye should not be drawn immediately to your fucking nose, you should see a face as a whole

Because there are very few and far between, especially in mainstream Eastern stuff. Excluding creatable characters, how many black people do you see in JRPGs? How many lead? I can think of a handful, but none in games that 13-17 year olds would play, except maybe FF.
They were barren in Pokemon games until about gen V, and there wasn't a playable black protag till gen VI.
I remember almost 10 years ago when I was messing around with SSBB texture hacks and put this mod on Ness that made him look like Will Smith from the opening of Fresh Prince, black skin, shirt with yellow+green stripes. Games with international settings that could have a black guy are limited, even downright questionable in their depictions, but I don't think they really give much thought on diversity or inclusion. Megami Tensei series games are the only JRPG released internationally that blatantly takes place in Japan. Everything else is just contemporary medieval inspired fantasy worlds, give or take some anachronistic elements. People can draw whatever they want, sure, but people are also allowed to criticize other people's drawings and give them advice on how to get better. 4chan isn't the best place for it for obvious reasons, but other art websites outside of Tumblr/Deviantart would really slam their drawings for how unrealistic they look. We tried that, basically. When segregation was in full swing, black neighborhoods were the domain of black-owned businesses, and they flourished as best as they could under the circumstances. Large corporations realized that the color of your skin does not change the color of your cash, and moved in with their superior capital and lower prices and the black-owned businesses largely couldn't compete. As for media, it's damn hard to get a foothold in an already saturated market. Bollywood exists because India was largely a media vacuum despite a huge population, while trying to compete against American cinema in America is an ill-fated endeavor. People still try, though they don't get much exposure.

Even then, black culture has certainly evolved on its own and even found distinct footholds in American culture at large, particularly in music.
