Is she our generation's Mewtwo?
>she
Mewtwo was ridiculously overpowered in Gen I and remains remarkably strong to this day.
Necrozma is not nearly as powerful overall, although this might change come November.
So no. Not yet, at least.

It can't be overpowered because it was intentionally made to be the strongest.
To be overpowered it would need to be stronger than the developers intended for it to be.

stat wise, maybe. But in concept....no.
Silvally takes takes that title since, like Mewtwo and Genesect before it, is an experimental pokemon made by the Evil team in an attempt to make the "ultimate pokemon"
This gen's Kyurem is more like it.

That's like saying something can't look bad because it was intentionally made to look bad.
'Sides, "overpowered" is a relative term; namely, it's in comparison to other 'mon, regardless of the developer's intention.
The term you're looking for, when something is unintentionally overpowered, is "broken". You know, because it "breaks" the game?
That said, I'm not gonna argue something like "Mewtwo ain't broken, he's overpowered". That sounds dumb, and is pretty much a semantic argument.

I guess it all depends on how powerful he/he/he/he/he/he/he/she is. Details at ten.
