OP's memeset works on the idea that ambipom fakes you out turn 1 then proceeds to spam a 140 STAB move for as long as it can. If you had to use 3 moves instead of 1 before last resort, ambipom simply wouldn't survive long enough to do its thing.

This is a great lead, I use Snatch instead of Taunt because I face shit that sets up a lot but you can change it. Beat up also hits rocks and steel for neutral damage.

This is the Ambipom set that I usually use.

- U-Turn

- Thief

Lead with Fake-Out, and if it's a Pokemon that can't be knocked out with the follow-up Return, use U-turn to switch to A pokemon like Ferrothorn. Either that or switch to slow volt switcher like Probopass and set up another Fake-out round.

I like using Ambipom, but if you want to use it as well as you can, you basically have to build your team around it.

This a set I made all the way back in X/Y. Basically if you want somebody else to have life orb you can use a normal gem, Z-move lite. If you yourself get flinched or can't connect with fake out turn one...normal gem boosted double hit does huge damage to pokemon uninvested in defense and that don't resist normal type. Acrobatics give more coverage/damage after using your gem. U-turn should be obvious.

Dusclops designed to be an Entei counter in UU. All of Entei's moves have low PP (Sacre Fire, Extreme Speed) or hurt Entei with nasty rtecoil (Flare blitz) or are totally irrelevant/filler (Bulldoze) This Dusclops counters Entei, especially choice Band, perfectly.

How is that an Entei counter if it gets BTFO before it can KO back, or just dies most of the time if sneaky pebbles is up? If you switch it into any other choice band move it'll be fine, but unless I'm missing something that's not a counter.

Well, here's a set I've actually found quite useful. Yeah its a bit memeish, but it works great as my teams anchor:

Crush claw/return

Bulk up

Its a new set I've been experimenting with and it works surprisingly well as my teams secondary tank. What do you think, /vp/?

Ambipom already deals with Focus sash/Sturdy with Fake-Out. The only thing it has over Return is Sub breaking.

Not really worth the trade in my book.
