How do we make Pokemon games better without changing the formula?
I bet you realised that Game Freak stopped releasing single games like Emerald and Platinum when BW2 and now USUM happened. And why? Because they can sell more games this way, make more money and also make the players trade more Pokemon with each other, which in some way is a core aspect of this franchise. Trading Pokemon, especially version exclusives. You can't do that with just a single third installment.
But in the end, we still get the same game, with the only real difference being the version exclusives. There could be a better solution, though.
At first i thought "release two games with two version exclusive different regions and Pokemon", but that wouldn't work because it would mean double the work, and in the end you could say it is like releasing two new generations at once.
But i found a solution: put version exclusive starting points in the games.
Imagine BW2, but in B2 you start in Nuvema Town, and in W2 in Aspertia Town. It would be the same region, so GF wouldn't have THAT much more work. Version exclusives could vary much more, and even Pokemon that arent version exclusive would finally have a purpose in trading again, because one game has much earlier access to them than the other game.
The story would have to be slightly different, but you could just have, like, two organisations or two admins, and depending on what game you play you just hear that a trainer from the other side of the region defeated the first admin or something.
What do you think?

I fail to see how this promotes anything other than more people feeling forced to buy both games to get the "full experience", because this way that statement actually becomes a reality.
> One Large Game for switch
> Every Pokemon is acquirable with time/effort
> Have paid DLC to access new storylines that expand on the lore and give you a higher chance of getting Pokemon than you would in the wild

Many people buy both versions anyway, but this way they would at least have more fun playing the second version.
