/vp/'s Rivals Challenge: JOIN US edition

People can at battle each other with prior Gens if they just make their teams on Showdown.

While it's not for everybody, people interested in a bigger Gen 3 experience could try PokeMMO as well for playing together/ against each other!

And yeah, we're all about chill, taking it cool, just playing how we like to play.

You should mess with IVs, EVs, making it competitive-oriented.
The point is you don't know how good your pokémon is in-game, and you battle with them, not with a lesser imitation. Though it's understandable if not everybody wants to play gen 6-7.

If groups of people are okay with doing this with previous gens, you're more than welcome to join the fun, OP pic is more "guidelines" than "rules"

I was going to ask about showdown. I mean as long as we set the stats to the same as the Pokemon's real stats it will be fine. At the end of the day, unless the mon is using Hidden Power, it doesn't really matter if the +1 from a stat comes from 1IV or 4EVs does it.

Anyone interested in doing Gen 3, I will be doing FRLG but if you want to do RSE that would be fine too.

Ok, I can accept challengers that have 1 badge in a Gen 3 Game. I think I can actually fight anyone that has earned their first badge, regardless of generation, if they are willing to make their team on showdown.
