Someone suggested that, actually. The artist said they'd be willing to do sprite work. It be an interesting idea in theory at least, but I don't think it would work. You have a bunch of the exact same types slugging it out with the exact same moves (mostly), so advantage really comes down to bst. It'd be fun for like, two gyms, then it would just be way too repetitive.
