Also, swoobat is based on the fluffy white honduran bat (look it up). Zubat is just a run of the mill bat with a final form in Crobat who's all about protection and speed due to growing extra wings.

just because they're a similar design doesn't make them a 'regional variant' of some kanto mon. Yes there's different crows around the world, but that doesn't make a pigeon a crow clone, they're entirely different species, with a common ancestor.
