Why don't people understand what a type is?

It's about elemental affinity and vulnerabilities, not "these Pokemon are similar in this way, therefore they're now a new type".

Those make sense. They describe the physical makeup of the Pokemon.

Fairy = magical
Dragon = obviously a fucking dragon
Flying = aerial and therefore vulnerable to rocks and lightning and can't be hurt by ground
Steel = obviously made of fucking steel and therefore vulnerable to fire
Normal = no affinity to an element but also not particularly weak to many things
Fighting = physical moves without elemental affinity

The only one that doesn't fit this mold is Dark which is supposed to be like Fighting except based on "sneaky" fighting style, which makes sense for why it's effective against Psychic and not effective against Fighting, but makes no sense why they're effective against Bug or why most of the moves are fucking Special.

However I'll admit a good portion of the type advantages/weaknesses are just for gameplay purposes with weak excuses for how they make any sense.

But the point is type is meant to describe what they're physically made of and what the nature of their attacks are in how they affect other Pokemon, not what the Pokemon looks like or what it acts like.

And Beast are Brute Force Pokémon, they don't think when they fight. They just want to win. Psychic can't do anything if the enemy doesn't think in their attacks and they can't predict beast moves. Fairies and Normal pokémon are just physically weak. And beast are the only that can fight beasts.

Beast can't do anything against ghost cuz they don't have any elemental affinity and a ghosts can easily manipulate them because they don't have magic or some shit to protect their mind,
they're weak to Light based moves too.

Well, that's explained in BW2. When a trainer catch a Pokémon with a pokeball they're in the control of the trainer. And they can be peted (idk if that word exist, I'm not a English speaker) too.
