The Smash model for Lucario always looked really weird to me. Pokken model less so. The Rayman nose and anime mouth just looks...off in 3D.

Zoroark has a bad design. It's way too skinny for its massive hair, and the lipstick(?) looks real out of place on something with fur

Its more like a shonen wolf(aura sphere being the equivalnet of ki blasts) with elements of wolverine(when it uses metal claw), a jedi(when it uses bone rush), and maybe Sly Cooper(bandit-looking mask. Why does a fighting type wear a bandit mask anyway). In short, its a clusterfuck of numberous "cool" ideas into a blender of character design. I feel that Im supposted to like it, but I can't help but assume that its a creation that an austistic child from deviantart would design. It suffers by being too orginal to the point that you would end up being questionable if you ignore the design's intended appeal.

I don't thinks it the best design ever, but I understand the appeal for it. Mega Lucario fixed a few issues, but made a few worse.

I'll agree about Zoroarks design being a little odd. The whole 'its not a tail, it's just long hair' thing threw me at first. (Same with Lycanroc midnight), but what really got me was when I played X/Y. That 3d model. That weird, whole face looking like a snake when it opened it's mouth. Eesh.

i feel as though lucario is a really great design balance with edge, coolness, and cuteness. since it covers a wide range of appeals, thats why normies and autists both eat it right up
not only is the design good, but the typing is based and movepool even better
the lucario movie is definitely one of the best pokemon movies ever made too, so that helps

As someone who likes Lucario in a non-furfag way, I'll try to explain what made me like it.

Lucario was tailor made to be loved by kids. He was made to be cool - he can use telepathy, he can shoot the kamehameha and he's so strong that he never loses unless he's severely outnumbered or outright cheated. Then there are the furries. And since he's so popular with kids he's further pushed on.

If not that, then it has the "blue dog effect." Clifford, Blue from blues clues, Paw Patrol...Kid's love talking and/or off colored dogs.

Not a fan of Lucario, never been one. But honestly, you have to be pretty slow mentally to not understand its appeal. It's "cool" for many reasons. Even I can appreciate the edge the dark colors and mask adds, and the sheer coolness of shooting Aura Sphere.
