Thats wrong tho. Grass may have 5 weaknesses, ithey also have 3 very good and useful resistances, as well as a "semi-immunity" which lets them be immune to leech seed, spore and various other status moves. I'll give you grass being bad offensively but it still hits two useful typings super effectively. If you look in every standard tier, there is always a very solid grass type in there, well except for ubers.

It's so fucking bulky you need STAB to truly 1/2hko it, given it has no x4 weaknesses and the vast majority of things that want to kill it only have hp fire to do so. It's exceptionally fucking good at cucking greninja and lando (usually) and is a low risk choice since if you fuck up, there's a good chance it wont die and you can switch out again gaining a heal.
It also has coverage for years, decent mixed offence with strong STAB moves on both special and physical and sleep powder.

Grass has quite a bit of weaknesses, sure, but it's mostly shit like Poison which no one uses and Ice which is almost ever seen with STAB. Meanwhile resistances to Water, Ground and Electric all on the same Pokemon are fucking invaluable for almost every team.
