The key was they made it less triangular and weighed down by giving it more upturned features to offset its bottom heaviness. The flame ribbons add a dynamic flow to offset its stiff features. The rooster comb is better suited for it than the V crest. The black is way better than mustard yellow, makes its other colors pop and again looks wilder and more dynamic with the bit of asymmetry.

It's just a much more balanced design.
