If we just get a Smash 4 port, we'll probably get one.

If it's a brand new Smash, Alola will be left in the dust with Hoenn and Unova, the former of which who never got their planned Plusle & Minun duo or the latter who actually Unova doesn't really have anything suitable for Smash among its popular Pokemon. Forcing the not-really-popular and honestly unfitting Zoroark or going for Oshawott which probably would've caused a lot of assmad too would probably be the best bets.
