PLEASE!!? but I doubt 8th Gen and beyond would be on the system, especially given the Switch is poised to do some decent numbers.

Don't have a switch yet but I'll get one for Splatoon, which is already enough to justify t for me (I have well over 1,500 hours on my Wii U with the first game and only stopped playing now due to the second one)

Mario, Metroid, Kirby, and Xenoblade are just gravy at this point, so a Pokemon game will add to it for me.

Now it's one system competing with another because the 3DS games can't be played forward.

Screen resolution matters more than just "graphics". Having too low resolution limits the content on the screen. It really starts to matter in situations like triple battles etc., as a higher resolution leads to more details (up to a certain point, at least).

Besides, saying graphics don't impact "fun" (whatever that means) is fucking retarded and you should really play more games if you really believe that. It's a visual medium, the way you represent it is naturally important. I'm not saying that more lifelike textures or higher poly models are necessary for a better game, but visual style and coherent graphics do matter for any game.
