Believe me, it's boring as hell to play. The only good thing about it is to see some of the coolest pokémon in realistic art, and their animations. But maybe it's because I hate fighting games like this, where you fight and fight and there's no story development.

it is fun to play. you actually need to learn each pokemon after changiing to another main fighter if you want to play it like a pro. if you button smash the game is boring. if you know what you do it can be a lot fun.

I think it's a fuck ton of fun to play. It's certainly less fun to watch then a lot of fighting games, but it's still fun to watch too.

You have to keep in mind that over half of the people in the invatational were just e-celebs, and only one player period was actually a competitive Pokken player who threw matches to keep it from being a curbstomp. It wasn't a good display of skill

CEO is in 2 days, watch that if you want to see actually good pokken gameplay, pic related for the schedule

It's probably this, Pokken doesn't have much single player/casual content, it's pretty much designed for competitive play and not much else.

If you like competitive fighting games and want one one that's very focused on fundamentals and mindgames and not so much giant combos, and with good character balance, then yes

Sure, but there are reasons: Crogunk is super popular in japan due to the DP anime, for instance

You can't really understand fighting games as a genre until you've put the time into really learning one. It's a weird genre where it takes hours of practice before you really start playing. If you don't make it a point to teach yourself how to play, then you really won't get much out of the game..
