Combine that with next to no wild Pokemon, shitty selection unless you connect your GBA games and towns with both nothing interesting and fewer towns than in any other Pokemon. Both games are a shitfest. Not to mention Colosseum's PC saving.

Wasn't this obvious, though? Black and White 2 came out for the DS despite the 3DS being a thing, and DP came out later into the DS's life, which is why spinoffs like MD Blue and Ranger only had up to Gen III Pokemon.
The Switch was going to get a Pokemon game, but it wouldn't be immediate.
