Well for Pokemon, trading and battling has always been a massive part of the series. I remember playing and trading with my older brother as a kid, and that was likely only made possible by the relatively low price of the games and handhelds at the time.
I think the point the person is making, albeit clumsily, is that the interactivity of Pokemon will suffer due to the higher price of the Switch.

I think WPM is right. If future Pokemon is on the Switch, it's going to be hard for little kids to afford it. Everyone has a smartphone, kids too, they're seen as necessary these days and have multiple functions. But parents probably aren't going to also buy their kids a Switch. Both of these companies will not make full, actual games on mobile, they explicitly stated that. They intend to create apps to promote the games and improve sales as like GO did to SM and 3DS, not make fucking actual games for it because smartphones are horrible platforms to develop actual game on it. Besides that, everyone has enough money to afford a premium smartphone. Heck, a fucking Switch costs less than that. Share the fucking console or just wait in a couple years for a new smaller, cheaper portable.
