Wiped in Emerald with this team last week, still hurts. Drake just started outspeeding me and dished out some hard coverage moves that I wasn't ready for. Typhlosion was the only one who survived to see Wallace.

My latest run was almost a month ago, in White 2. Here's what I finished with - no screenshot as it was done on cartridge and fuck taking pictures with my phone.

Swoobat basically stayed on the team for sentimentality and didn't do anything in the late game battles, while Gliscor, the one non-Unova Pokemon, was the Elite Four MVP. Getting an Impish Gligar really was something, and he was godly even with the Eviolite before evolving.

Really solid team honestly - my early encounters up to Relic Passage and Castelia City were all pretty crap, so I was thankful it got better from there.

This is from the most recent Randomized Nuzlocke I completed. I'm happy with how my team turned out.

The reason Leafeon is at a low-level compared to the rest was I used to have a Ferrothorn called Rose, but she died while battling the Elite Four. Leafeon was caught around Victory Road and I picked it up from the PC that's provided to you at N's Castle as a last-minute addition to the team.

I've Nuzlocked every gen (including BW 1 and 2) and B2 was one of my favorites. I recommend retrying B2. If anything, give it some time before starting again since it may be boring redoing the beginning.

New team after vigoroth died to Erika's tangela, but at least I'm still making progress

This is my current platinum nuzlocke team. I Haven't lost a team member yet and just entered hearthome city.

I'm thinking about ditching it for a bit since plat is my favorite game and I've played it a billion times.

Maybe I'm gonna try a BW2 challenge mode run. only played BW2 once and I kinda dislike gen 5 but I want to give them another chance.

Replace abra with geodude. You'll just have him drag with your team until he evolves and learns confusion at 16. Geodude is the broest Pokémon I've had in Nuzlocke, I used him in SS and I caught him before the first gym and beat the game with him. He's useful as fuck and I highly recommend him.

Also maybe even replace bidioof with wurmple. I know he's an hm slave but that's another teammate to help out, especially when it hits the last evolution

BW1, just beat Skyla and am exploring Route 17. I have never successfully completed a nuzlocke, and this is the farthest I have ever gotten in any attempts I have had.

I use set battle and no items, but at this point I don't think it would be any better if I didn't. I dunno if I am incredibly unlucky, just suck at these, or both.

Cinccino is fun. This run solidified it as one of my favorite normals.

update from yesterday. caught a shellos and grinded him all the way up from 9 to 18 just for him to get fucked up by flinches and critical hits from team galactic mars. promptly caught another shellos at the next route
grinded the hell out of the eterna forest segment and got my team up to pretty decent levels i think

At Mt. Pyre's summit. Do people count the inside and outside of Mt. Pyre as different areas like they do Pinwheel Forest?

And just discovered that Pokénav Pokémon will run away if you don't get to them quick enough. Had a Chimeco just do that.

FireRed, postgame just about complete. Team hasn't changed since beating the E4 - Tilly the Butterfree was the only loss ;_;. Have fond memories of spending weeks - months, even - discovering new things in the postgame Sevii Islands when I first played FireRed, & yet this time I blitzed it in one short evening (albeit on hyperspeed).

Saved right in front of Mewtwo - what do people normally do at this point? Do I have to kill the non-respawning legendary as a 'final boss' or can I use the Master Ball on it even though I forgot to set up Repels? Or does the game not really end until after E4 rematch (which would require a load more grinding)?

Outside the Elite 4 in White 2 right now. I ended up grinding the team to 57 on the route before Victory Road and thankfully didn't have too much issue, but I'm playing on Set and pretty nervous about Marshall and Iris. I'll probably give it a whirl when I get home tonight.

Are you using items in battle?

If so, Marshall will be easy: send out either Mienshao or Lilligant first, set up against his Throh, then sweep. His Throh can't really do much & both should be safe from OHKO crits at that level

Most of Iris' mons should be beaten by Mienshao or an Ice Beam from Starmie. Archeops will be problematic if it outspeeds Starmie. Haxorus is the real problem here & you need to come up with a strategy to prevent it setting up

Crits have been the bane of every Nuzlocke I've done, but the fact that Throh's only STAB is Circle Throw makes its damage output completely predictable

Sturdy Thunder Wave/Fake Out seems like a decent strategy. Again if you're using healing items you could just cheese Haxorus by spamming heals until you get a turn where it can't move. You should probably be prepared to sacrifice someone to it though just in case it comes out at an inconvenient moment (that thing really is a cunt)

I've set myself a cap of 54, the same level as Ghetsis's Hydreigon. I grabbed myself an Escavalier as a replacement, so we'll see how this whole thing pans out. As for new locations, the only one I had repelled through was Victory Road, and I went back there first thing. Got a Deino, which unfortunately won't become a Hydreigon itself until 64.

In theory, but I'm disallowing Legendaries. Here's my full list of rules:

1. Catch the First Pokémon on each route, dupes clause for the whole evolutionary line with 5 attempts
2. All fainted Pokémon must be released
3. Set Battle Style
4. No Items in Battle, besides Held Items
5. Level cap equal to the next major opponent's highest leveled Pokémon (currently 54)
6. No Gift Pokémon, interractable Pokémon, or Legendary Pokémon
7. Shinies may be caught, but not used

I've used this ruleset for all of my Nuzlockes. Only ever succeeded in two: LeafGreen and AlphaSapphire

Doing my first Nuzlocke of Moon.
Fucking wiped on Hala's Power-up Punch Crabrawler. Game is pretty bullshit when it comes to Nuzlockes between z-moves, calling for help, and totems. I even used refresh, though not exp share. I even used every new screen map pop-up as a new area, meaning I had several pokemon by the end of the first island. During the fight, 2 pokemon survived OHKO crits through refresh, and I still wiped. I'm v mad.

The biggest thing keeping me from another attempt is how long the intro/tutorial takes.

The Flabébé might not be a bad idea, give your team a bit more Special Defense. However, choosing between the Cubchoo and Goomy, I'd go with Cubchoo for sure. Three of the four Pokémon still on your team are weak to ice, and adding in a fourth might be disastrous.

Froslass destroyed Mamoswine, Sneasel, Whiscash through hax.

Well, the Pearl version I just bought keeps freezing on me. Guess I'll do Platinum instead.

Such a contrast to White. In White, I only got 3 Pokémon before the first badge. I have 6 already in Platinum, and will get 4 more chances before the gym. Anyway, I'm still in Jubilife, and just finished grinding for the rival battle. Should be pretty easy. Starly vs Starly, and Psyduck to douse Chimchar.

Rules:
>Release any fainted Pokémon
>Only catch the first Pokémon on each route
>I am actually allowing Gift Pokémon for once, but with the exception of my starter, they count as that area's encounter
>Level cap (currently 14)
>Set Battle Style
>No Items in Battle

We ended up making it, actually. Lilligant did end up handling Marshall nicely, and everyone on the team did work against the other three to wreck shop. Iris ended up taking out Krookodile with Archeops and Mienshao with Haxorus, but they pulled their weight and took out two pokemon apiece. I've been having a great time in the postgame, and actually just encountered a Dragonite in a hidden grotto, which was pretty cool. Gen 5 has proven to be just as wonderful as I remembered it.

I think I'm going to start a Nuzlocke of Emerald today, and if I can find my sister's old GBA I'm going to trade myself over a 2nd gen starter egg to use instead of one of the regular starters, just for variety.

And apparently you can't trade eggs in Gen 3, and I can't trade stuff outside the national dex, that sucks. On the plus side, my first wild encounter was a Calm Ralts so that's awesome, and I got a Shroomish to boot.

My best Nuzlocke was a SoulSilver one with a Nidoqueen (Rosie), Yanmega (Hubert), and Mismagius (Louis). The rest of my team was a revolving door of memes and half-baked replacements.
Rosie in particular was a hero. She just would not die. She survived crits and unexpected coverage on 1-2 hp more than I think is entirely logical.
