Couple threads ago someone said draw your favorite pokemon in their natural habitat.
Here's Ampharos in a temperate grassland with Flaffy and Mareep.
I worked for close to two or 3 days on the background so criticisms would be appreciated.

You have a lot of core concepts down really nicely, but some things I noticed are a bit off.
Ampharos' forehead gem, for starters, is a little off target. It normally protrudes from the middle of the top of it's head, yours appears to be longer/off center, and more inside the head than it should be, based on your given perspective.
Your shading tool, might wanna try a new one or fix yours, it's got some weird pattern going on and it's pretty visible (Ampharos' belly). Also, the shading itself seems to be inconsistent, the source of light and where shadows land don't agree 100%, they're not too bad, but some go against eachother. Ampharos' body is the prime example, Mareep's fluff has shade, but the parts of it that are close to Amph don't, it feels like you intentionally avoided shading both at once. It's good you recognize their orbs as the perfect things for light source recognition, and yours do signify a light source nicely, but, again, some shading goes against it, like Amphy's right arm, and other bits here and there, nothing serious, but it could help to make shading more accurate and rounded out, for such a well done piece like this.
The grass looks good, for the most part. The grass is...actually really nice looking up close...but in the back, it looks a little like a big hairy green leg. Perhaps less tall, aimed grass? Or maybe more dirt, something... it's tough to say since, in the end, it still looks okay.
Personally, I don't like obscuring faces with foreground objects (Mareep and the grass), but that's just me...
Sky's a bit bland and lacking lighting (The sky shouldn't just be only one shade of blue), clouds are a bit too soft, looks like it was airbrushed on with little effort, but it's not really bad looking.
Anatomy is pretty much perfect, Flaaffy's cotton is a little messy, but it doesn't impede the overall, which looks good.
It's really good, keep practicing, you've got serious potential.
As a side note, do you use black to shade?

Black is a good start, but try to step away from black as you progress. Idunno what program was used, but if it can be helped, try darker shades/higher saturation as shade instead. Will breathe more life into an image than black once you get used to it.
