It's just the anger from the direct snowballing. Not everyone hated the announcement, but the people that's did we're really loud about it. Now people who were neutral before think the majority hates the games, so predictions that they'll sell poorly are popping up everywhere.

I want USUM to fail so the series doesn't continue in this bad direction

I think a lot of it comes from the fact that the game looks like it could be another third version, like Emerald and Platinum. I know a lot of people don't want a rehash, they want something new and fresh. And considering we don't have anything about the games to go on, we can only work with the limited information we have.

Maybe for other franchises but Pokemon is in fine position sales wise. The series isn't gonna end if you don't buy them
