All of them.

All of them.
His signature/ace Pokemon though is Pikachu.
>>32744132
Canonically he has all of them.
>>32744132
Canonically, Red has all of kanto region Pokémon starters.
>>32744132
If Red and Blue appearing in the Tree house nonsense is canon then
Red and Blue Oak are failures, they give up on Professor Oak. They were suppose to travel Earth collecting every Pokémon in existence.
pikachu, because only in yellow can you get every other starter without the need to trade
>>32744300
Yellow is non-canon.
>>32744300
That proves nothing. The NPC trade couple in Cerulean in Red. Green, and Blue are still there in Gold, Silver, and Crystal despite not even existing in Yellow.
>>32744252
>traveling to Alola doesn't count as traveling the Earth
>>32744132
all of them, out of the 15 or so versions of him across the multiverse pikachu is the most common
>>32744132
Red picks the green pokémon.
Green picks the red pokémon.

Pikachu.
I like to think of Yellow Red as canon and you can get all 3.
Canonically he starts with bulbasaur and gets the other two later
>>32744471
> Green
Ok, now what's his canon starter?
>>32744876
This nameless kid isn't even canon himself
>>32744900
I think he is sun, because in demo that was his name :)
>>32744844
Green, or Blue outside Japan, South Korea, and China, is Red's rival.
Blue, or Green outside those Asian countries, is the female equivalent to Red.
>>32744925
>Orlando and Anna
>>32744471
>>32744479
>>32744482
Glad to know Bulbasaur is the canon starter. It's the best one.
>>32744956
>Blair and Whitlea
>Xavier and Yvonne
>>32744414
Red and Blue Oak didn't capture all Pokémon available in that region.
>>32744482
that charizard has only one "horn"
>>32744946
Well in Sun and Moon he's named Green, not blue. So I guess his cannon name worldwide is Green now regardless of what you say it's right there, in the official material.
>>32744876
Only a retard would believe his starter isn't Rowlet when it makes Kukui have Incineroar in his team
>>32745745
>Well in Sun and Moon he's named Green, not blue.
Because you played it in Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese and/or Simplified Chinese.
>>32745838
Too bad the intro proved otherwise. Sun got Litten and Hau got a nice lazy Rowlet just like him.
>>32745979
Bait, right?
>>32744132
Judging by the battle at Mt. Sliver he started with Pikachu and got the other three starters at some point of his journey.
>>32746768
Pikachu can be caught in RGB and FRLG at Viridian Forest as low as lv3.
>>32746782
It's his strongest Pokemon by level, and the starter is usually overleveled compared to the rest of the team.
Not to mention Yellow is the only game where you can get all three gen 1 starters in the same playthrough.
>>32746682
Nope.
>>32744132

Bulbasaur.
>>32746815
>It's his strongest Pokemon by level
Because he is Ash's counterpart and Game Freak likes to put in those references (Red's Pikachu in HGSS has the moves used most by Ash's Pikachu in the Sinnoh series of the anime before HGSS were released).
>and the starter is usually overleveled compared to the rest of the team
Headcanon.
>Not to mention Yellow is the only game where you can get all three gen 1 starters in the same playthrough.

>>32746844
Why did you even reply if you agree his starter is Pikachu?
>>32746864
But I don't. Most official artwork depicts him with a Bulbasaur, including the official Japanese guidebook for RGB (pic related).
>>32746881
Fucking artwork? when not even all of it shows him with the same starter? that argument is weak as fuck. Even Charmander has a stronger case than Bulbasaur thanks to Pokemon Origins.
You said it yourself, he's Ash's counterpart, and we know which starter Ash picked.
>>32746908
>You said it yourself, he's Ash's counterpart, and we know which starter Ash picked.
Red and Green were released in February 1996, the anime only started on April 1997 (and on Fools' Day, heh).
Yellow wouldn't even exist if Gold and Silver hadn't been delayed so the only weak argument is to always justify everything using Yellow when there is no evidence to substantiate the claims.
