The only thing from the current OP which we haven't seen is Solgaleo and Lunalaa, but they were more then likey only there to promote the series and not a role in the anime similar to Yvetal and Xerneas in Volt.

The movie promo should end towards the start of September/End of August so we should be looking at a proper new OP around that time.

Solgaleo and Lunalaa can only appear in a scenario where Nebby has already arrived in the anime since Nebby becomes one of the legendarys.

With Akala starting and Lillie beginning her development towards becoming Z-Powered Lillie soon, maybe as soon as next episode, we should reach or hopefully see Aether by episode 52. If that's the case we could see Nebby as soon as that. Personally, I love this season compared to X&Y, because I just got bored and couldn't even finish the whole season! Same old gym battles, no main parts for pikachu, and it seemed like ash had no personality to him anymore. This season, there is so much built in the character, you see so much more of pikachu and ash's personalities, and they just seem to be happier as normal kids. funny, cute, overall great season.

Ash went to Alola on vacation, thought it was cool, and decided to move there and go to school. Shortly after Topkek gives him a Z-Ring and an electric Z-Crystal, then challenges him to a battle. It's also implied it took an interest in him for REASONS, but they haven't been explored yet. Topkek teaches Ash the Electric Z-Move, but Ash is too inexperienced in using it and the crystal ends up breaking in the process. He's then told that you can get new crystals from completing trials, so he decides to do that.

He has no real overall goal beyond "pass some trials to get some crystals, then fight Topkek again", and he's technically done both already. He lost the rematch too, but that just led to him vowing to get stronger. It's all kinda contrieved and lacks the sense of progress.
